More Information:

Andrew Bryant Sensei (Shihan-dai) will be teaching a series of seminars on the classical Japanese martial arts of the Kan-ou-kan over the next year at the Indianapolis Martial Arts Center. He currently holds the ranks of Godan (5th-dan) in Iaido, and Yondan (4th-dan) in both Jujutsu and Kenjutsu within the Kan-oukan. He holds the license of Shihan-dai (Assistant Master Instructor) and is a personal student of Kunio Morimoto Sensei, president of the Kan-ou-kan in Hiroshima, Japan (Hatsukaichi).

The final (4th) seminar will be taught directly by Kunio Morimoto Sensei in the Summer of 2019 (TBD).

These quarterly, full-weekend seminars will be geared toward those sincere martial artists who wish to seriously train in the Kan-ou-kan, as well as those who wish to form study groups (kenkyukai) outside of Japan. The final seminar will be taught by Morimoto Sensei and offer testing for those sincere students who have attended at least one of the previous seminars and been accepted as a member of the Kan-ou-kan and/or formed an authorized Kan-ou-kan Kenkyukai.

During each full weekend seminar, instruction will be offered in the following schools preserved in the Kan-ou-kan, as recognized by the Nihon Kobudo Kyokai, or Nihon Kobudo Shinkokai:

Shibukawa Ichi-ryu Jujutsu
Muso Shinden Eishin-ryu Iai-heiho
Oishi Shinkage-ryu Kenjutsu
